Michèle has a B.A. Combined Honours in English and Fine Art from Exeter University; an M.A. in Fine Art from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design and an M.Phil. from the Department for Contemporary Cultural Studies at Birmingham University.

In addition to her regular studio practice, Michèle worked professionally for over twenty-five years as an educator in galleries and museums of contemporary art in the UK, including CGP London, The Serpentine, The Hayward and The Whitechapel Galleries. She specialised in leading gallery workshops, projects and programmes based on social inclusion and widening participation in contemporary art. From 2000 to 2019 Michele worked at Tate Modern, London, as an artist educator and later as a curator in Public Programmes.

Solo and group exhibitions have taken place in UK and Europe.
