French Curves are templates used as an aid to draw smooth, continuous freeform curves. In this series of prints, which is part personal archive, and part story of furniture, I reuse templates made by my father, a cabinet maker. The repetition of shapes takes on the form of a language or system of representation. Coded within this language are references to furniture making, heritage, and identity.
